Leslie Gage kindly sent me another excellent group photograph, which was
taken on Tuesday, February 26th, 1935 at the Savoy Hotel, London, on the
occasion of a Columbia luncheon in honour of Sir Thomas Beecham (in
connection with Leeds Musical Festival Records).
A number of familiar faces which also show up in the Frascati picture, but
again, no line-up...
In all 45 persons. No females.
Sadly, this time we have no menu card with signatures.
But the following persons have been identified:
Apart from Sir Thomas Beecham, we recognize Joe Batten, Charles Gregory,
George Croydon (“Lord”) MARKS, Louis Saul Sterling and Leslie Neck (or
Raymond Langley?).
