LIFE


He was employed by Deutsche Grammophon in 1901 and from 1904 he built up the Danish Gramophone Company subsididary Skandinavisk Grammophon Aktieselskab and was its general manager.
In the beginning he was also responsible for Skandinaviska Grammofon-Aktiebolaget in Stockholm, Sweden.
His son Eugen, who had been A&R manager in Copenhagen from 1934, succeeded him as general manager.
His brother John became general manager in Vienna.
